For my last two year of high school I will concentrate in not only perusing my passions but also developing passions for creativity, activity and service. At the end of last year I was feeling nervous and indecisive since I was already starting to see people in my grade getting stressed about what community and service they were going to do to get credit for CAS. Students were already starting to going all the clubs they could and get involved as many activities since they new that CAS was a big thing next year, personally I didn’t find an interest in joining clubs that I wasn’t interested in just for “the grade” so what I did was begin to get worried. By the end of last year I realize that I could start by perusing my passions out side of school, so I began taking photos on my free time, started French classes, had boxing / personal trainer and even developed an interested in kids. But although I was perusing my passions and developing interest out side of school I felt that I was going to have trouble next year with CAS since I was not involved in any clubs at school related to community and service so I began to worry a little.
Fortunately, at the beginning of this year when we began to have the CAS presentations I realized that CAS is not about being involved in all of the clubs in school and doing community and service but its about enriching and developing personal and interpersonal growth through experiential learning. That’s when I realized that this year I wanted to concentrate in developing and enriching those passions I have created through the years. For creativity I will create photography and edit photos, activity I will work on boxing/ personal trainer and service I have joined to clubs that I am really interested in that involves children, which are Wish factory and Habla Roosevelt. Finally, I will develop a plan to be able to achieve all of my activates and make sure that what I am involved in is meaningful and helps me grow as a person.
